Mother's Day Origami Card

Nothing says I Love You quite like a handmade card! This Mother’s Day, why not create a heart-shaped card using this fun and easy origami technique?

Don’t forget to write a heartfelt message to mum, your nana, or your carer to tell her how much you appreciate them! You can even decorate with stickers or colour in with felt tip pens.

You will need:

• A sheet of square coloured paper
• Sissors
• Pens

Instructions:

1. First, take a square piece of paper and fold it diagonally. Trim off any excess paper if you need to so it’s exactly square. 

2. Take the top corner, and fold into the middle.

3. Next, take the opposite corner and fold up to the top of the first crease.

4. Fold in half, and open, then fold the left hand side of the page so it points upwards, as shown below..

5. Repeat on the other side.

6. Turn over, and fold both points at the top of the heart down.

7. Now fold both points at the side in.

8. Open up the heart and write a note for mum!

8. You’re all done!
