What You’ll Need (to make one spider web)
Steps to Make Your Spider Web:
Make the Web Base
Glue the four popsicle sticks together in the center so they form a star shape. Let the glue dry completely before moving on.

Spin the Web
Tie or glue one end of the yarn near the centre of one stick. Start wrapping the yarn around each stick in turn, moving outwards as you go. Loop under then over - and keep looping around until you’ve created a web shape.

Secure the End and add spiders
Once you’ve reached the edge of the sticks, cut the yarn and tie or glue securely on one of the sticks. Trim any extra yarn. Colour in the wood spiders and glue onto the web for a spooky finishing touch.

Display Your Creation
Hang your spider web in a window, on the wall, or as part of your Halloween decorations!
This is also a great educational craft for Spring, helping kids learn all about how spiders make their webs!

This simple Halloween activity isn’t just fun—it’s also educational! Wrapping the yarn around the sticks helps children build fine motor skills including finger dexterity
and hand–eye coordination, pattern recognition while problem-solving their way through creating a web pattern encourages creativity and focus. Plus, kids get a sense of pride in making their own decorations that can be displayed for all to see.
