Make an egg-hiding hen!
Share
This is such a fun idea – make a little card hen to hide mini chocolate eggs under! It’ll keep the kids busy while the Easter bunny hides treats!
This is a super cute, easy craft to complete. You can either print it on coloured card (like we have), or you can colour it in – it’s up to you! It’s definitely easier to make if it’s printed on card, rather than paper.
It could be a fun way to get kids into joining the egg-hiding fun – these would be perfect left on a teacher’s desk with some little treats hidden underneath!
You will need:
- Egg-Hiding Hen free printable, printed on card
- Scissors
- Double-sided tape, or glue
- Felt pens (optional)
- Feathers
- Googly eyes
Instructions:
- Print the sheet onto card. You’ll need to select ‘actual size’ in the print settings, to be sure that it will print at the correct size.
- Colour in the hen’s body, comb, and beak.
- Cut out the hen’s body, comb, and beak. Cut along the dotted line on the hen’s body as well.
- Put either a line of glue, or a piece of double-sided tape along the line you have just cut.
- Fold the circle into a cone, as shown below.
- As you tape the cone closed, slip the comb in at the top.
7. Bend the beak in half along the line, and then stick it to the front of the hen.
8. Attach the googly eyes, and then stick two feathers on for wings.
SO CUTE! Hide mini chocolate eggs underneath for a sweet surprise!
